In this post, I want to introduce you to the animated short KitBull. It was nominated for an Oscar and though it didn’t win, I am sure it must have ranked highly (Kudos to Hair Love for winning. Well-deserved as well).
KitBull is about a feisty stray kitten who is living the independent thug life lol. The hisses and scratches and attempts to be ‘ferocious’ when other creatures try to invade her space are adorable, though probably painful in real life (just look at those tiny sharp claws!)
In this animation, there is a brief glimpse at the inhumane and devastating impact of illegal dog fighting rings. The main storyline revolves about opening up, being vulnerable and making a friend as you open your heart. A lot to consider in the nine minutes or so of animation.
