You might be wondering: What is indie April?
It is a wonderful time of year where we highlight indie (or independently/self-published) authors. My author journey started when a few kind (and brave) souls took a chance at my writing, and every April I hope to pay it forward.
Today’s featured Indie book is What are friends for? By Sarah Sutton.
What is the book about?
Here’s a sneak peek:
FALLING IN LOVE ISN’T COMPLICATED…UNLESS IT’S WITH YOUR BEST FRIEND.
I’ve got a problem.A big one.It involves a blindfolded kissing game at a party. I was supposed to be kissing my crush, Jeremy, the totally hot baseball player I’ve been crushing on. And the kiss…it’s amazing. Makes me forget all about my overbearing mother, my next-door neighbor’s drama, and the probability of failing my senior year. But that’s not the big problem. The big problem is that once my blindfold falls off, I realize that heart-stopping, toe-curling, world-changing kiss wasn’t with my crush. It was with Elijah Greybeck, my best friend since the third grade. And even once I realize it’s him, why… why do I want to keep kissing him?
Book one of the Love in Fenton County standalone series, What Are Friends For?, is a swoon-worthy friends to lovers story that will leave you crushing hard.
This is a sweet romance book that will leave you with a warm, happy feeling. Both the main characters are adorable and there are no bad guys/gals, just characters who make bad choices (and then realize it and make amends). I hope you give this cute story a chance.
Be sure to pick up a Indie book for your next read (my books included 😁)
